The Lautech Chapter of Asuu has today August 8, 2018 started a two weeks warning strike. A reporter for Lautech Defenders by the name of Oladapo Ishola (Ennykings Esq) reported the following on the matter.

ASUU LAUTECH MEETING UPDATE

Consequent on their congressional meeting dates today 8th August 2018 at 250LT, the Academic Staff Union of University LAUTECH branch has come to a conclusion that a 2 week warning strike be embarked on due to the fact that the governments are not waking up to their responsibilities of funding the varsity.

On this note, all examinations a cross all levels be halted till after salah, this warning strike is an ultimatum for the government to comply to their terms and negotiate further, we don’t know what will unfold after the 2 weeks when the the 2 governors still fail to comply.

We still urge all students to remain steadfast in their reading and preparations for academic excellence, as the union can deem it fit to call off the strike any time on a subtle ground. I still await official confirmation from the ASUU chairman later today.
